call grandma!!2003-06-11 7:40 p.m.
well hi. so my parents have this ability to call me whenver i am not in a position to talk on the phone. it's not as if i ever want to talk to them anyways, unless of course some guy was like "hey, if you talk to your parents on the phone i will give you a million dollars." anyways, my dad called me today during one of these inopportune moments to tell me that my grandma is lonely because my aunt and uncle who she lives with are on vacation. so he wants me to call her. i have never had a conversation with my grandma in my entire life so how the hell am i supposed to call her and have a conversation with her? all that would happen is i would say things like "yeah i'm thinking about you too" (lie), "i really miss you!" (lie) and she would ask me how school is and i would tell her it is good (truth), and that would be it. i mean i have nothing against my grandma here but she is 93 years old and lives in florida and i never see her and we are surely not close. what the hell am i supposed to do? -nate
