if a futon is in the dumpster, there is probably a good reason for this.

hey. time for another round of "nate talks about what he has don lately." i could tell it in story form, but i will opt for a rapid fire list. visited bobby, got drunk, had the east side tour, took lots of cold showers, chilled with ian, got drunk, did a keg stand, played miniature golf with stefanie and had a blast, felt really tired, went out to "linner" with rachel, saw jenny for the first time in ages.

this brings us to a story from today. before this can be told however, another story must be told to set it up. it goes like this: this crackhead lady in front of me in the drivethrough ATM line didn't know what the hell she was doing and she drove off and left her card in the machine. i got my cash and went inside to give the card to a bank employee, but the lady was inside. this is when i decided she was on crack, and i gave her card back to her. i didn't even get a thankyou from the bloodshot eyed bitch. so i was a good samaritan, so good karma was on its way to me. here's how it materialized: on the way to lunch, i saw a futon frame in the dumpster. score. that's not the good karma part, because EMU students are constantly throwing futons away for some reason, so today i seized my chance to get one. later on i hopped on my skateboard and rode it to the dumpster. i took the futon out and placed it on the board and rolled it back across campus to my dorm. this was a pain in the ass. i was pouring sweat and shaking from exertion. the futon held up during the trip for the most part, but it disintegrated just as i got near my building luckily, this super nice dude was entering the building and he helped me put it back together and bring it up to my room. he was the good samaritan today. my mom definitely wasn't a good samaritan because of the following reasons: she is taking a summer class out her and i left a voicemail on her cell phone saying that i needed to borrow her and the van when she got out of class. well she didn't call me until she got back to the house because my dad had left her a note saying i needed the van. thanks mom, but you were a bit late (*&&*%^^$%^*$^%*&^*&^&**&^*!!!!!).

one final thing... my friend katie and i have engaged in a "not spending money contest" and so far i am totally kicking her ass because getting a free futon is like spending negative money. matt is supposed to give me a free mattress too. i will win.
