life's better in an apartment2004-05-15 9:06 a.m.
hi. let me buzz you up. wait... this isn't my apartment. so since i was super sick and i got a haircut, i have moved into an apartment, thrown a successful party and and received another haircut in an alley. everybody has a different opinion about the haircut. shayna loves it, one of the sorority girls seemed offended by it and chris says he likes it but wants the old hair back. i still work at the book store because getting a new job is a pain in the ass, but it looks like this job may become a pain in the ass. if the shipping and receiving manager leaves soon like i think he is going to, i will take over his job. hopefully ii won't start chewing kodiak like he does. as far as having an apartment is concerned, everything is better here. just sitting (on our balcony that spans the whole apartment and can be accessed from the living room or my bedroom) has never been so good. even my spider plant likes it here more. it actually started to grow. our first power bill was $10.12. the cable and internet bill is $99. the neighbors are ok. cute girls on every floor, friends living next door, acquaintences upstairs, stacy turns out to live in 304 which i found out when a mutual friend came to visit her and our paths crossed. we met the guy who lives above us our first night here when he climbed onto our balcony with a rope. we grill at least 3 times a week and drink too much. i got my neighbor's old drivers license to use as a fake ID but it's the old style license, so it doesn't work so well. this is no problem however, since i found out that i can buy from the local party store that i go to with shayna all the time. it happened by accident too... i put it on the counter and shayna was at the other end of the store, so i bought it. woodchuck never tasted so good. we have friends over a lot, and everyone should be one of those friends. on july 2nd, we are having a lindsay lohan's 18th birthday party. time to go prepare myself for my last saturday of work before i have three day weekends for pretty much the rest of summer. -nate
